Practicing Patterns
The tensile design proposal got the go-ahead by Arup so now we are trying the make the pattern for a local tailor to reproduce. We are using a woven Jute fabric because of its durible qualities. Being the strongest textile fiber it hopefully will last more then a summer season on the site. After working out the pattern on the 1cm : 1 m scale model, we then calculated out a sample sail with a thin canvas. 







Since the nuns helped us messure the pattern, we took a brake with them and played jumproap.
